Murphy Bed Dimensions

We want to make buying a National Casegoods Murphy bed an exceptionally simple and stress free process. Two important details will need to be considered when selecting your new Murphy bed.  These are the actual sizes of the products and the available size of your space.  Can you fit a queen size Murphy bed in your room or will you need to buy a full size?  Do you have enough room for a storage cabinet on each side of the bed?  Will the bed make it through the doorways and into the room you are redecorating?  These are very important issues to consider when purchasing a Murphy bed.  Your local furniture specialists are available to answer your questions and help you decide which products will work best in your situation.

We recommend taking some measurements to be sure that your new furniture can be delivered through all entryways, elevators, and stairways.  You should measure the following things (where applicable): the height and width of doorways, elevator doors and interiors, entryways, and headroom in stairways.  You should also consider what is beyond these points.  For example, are there low hanging light fixtures, low ceilings heights, decorative moldings, banisters / handrails, perpendicular walls, or any other obstacle that may pose a problem during delivery.

Your local furniture retailer is always the best resource for dimensional and delivery information.  They will be available to answer any of your questions regarding these dimensions and their specific delivery guidelines.  A complete listing of furniture retailers in your area is found on our "Find A Store" page
